IHI Boom Type hydraulic platform specifically desined for fire fighting and rescue operation is capable of manoeuvring across any hurdle/obstruction. The equipment is fast on the roads and can negotiate sharp corners. Its overall dimensions conform to Transport Regulations.

The equipment has a working height of 32 Meters and its cage floor height is 30.5 meters at maximum extension. The equipment rotates throught 360 degrees continuously and its cage also rotates laterally through 60 degree ion either side of the central position. The maximum outreach of the cage is 17 meters. The equipment essentiallycomprises three articulated booms with cage fitted on the top-most boom and a turn-table on which the set of booms is mounted.

All operations of the equipment such as raising lowering rotation of the booms, rotation of the cage, extension of stabilizers etc., are hydraulic.

The equipment incorporates a number of inter locks/safeties to make the operations free of any hazards
